Letter to investors, week 17
Ras Al Khaimah, April 25, 2026
Dear investors,
The week from 20 to 26 April closes with a return of 8.6% on the master account, approximately 6% for you net of the fee, with no losing days. Gold had a nervous week: on Tuesday it lost more than 2% amid tensions over the Strait of Hormuz and rising yields, and on Friday US inflation expectations rose again. Five positive days, between 0.9% and 2.1%. On Tuesday 21, with gold down more than 2%, the account closed at +1.7%. The Federal Reserve meets next Wednesday. On Fed meeting days the market can move abruptly in the late European afternoon, and the strategy operates with particular caution during that phase.
Next week brings the Federal Reserve meeting on Wednesday 29, which we will follow with our usual attention. On Friday 1 May, Labour Day, we wish a peaceful day to those who celebrate it.
With kind regards,
Duemar International Duemar International FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah
The week in the markets
Gold falls by about 1.4% and closes just above $4,700, ending four positive weeks.
- Tuesday 21 Fall of more than 2% towards $4,672, with the dollar, yields and oil rising on new disruptions at Hormuz.
- Wednesday Stabilisation on the fragile ceasefire and on the US–Iran talks.
- Friday 24 University of Michigan inflation expectations rise sharply.
- Robust retail sales and PMIs reduce expectations of a Fed cut.
Figures are calculated from the master account’s daily returns. The copier estimate applies the 30% fee to each week’s new profits above the previous high: the platform’s own calculation may differ.
