Methodology and risk
This page explains where the figures on this site come from, how to read them and what their limits are.
Data source
All figures come from our partner broker’s copy trading platform and refer to the strategy’s master account. The site reads them automatically: the gold price and positions every few seconds, statistics and returns every ten minutes. We never enter or edit data by hand.
How returns are calculated
Returns are calculated by the platform on the master account. Weekly, monthly and year-to-date returns are compounded: each period starts from the capital the previous one closed with. They are master account returns, before the performance fee charged to copiers.
Estimated return after the fee
The copier return is our estimate: to the master account’s daily returns we apply a 30% fee on each week’s new profits, only when the account is above its previous high. Since January 13, 2026 the master account has returned +1,697%; a copier who joined on day one would have made about +677%. The platform’s actual calculation may differ.
Weekly series
Weekly returns are rebuilt by compounding the daily returns over Monday-to-Sunday weeks, so that they are consistent with the monthly and year-to-date figures published by the platform.
How to read the risk profile
The strategy closes the large majority of days in profit, with small gains, and has rare but large losses: since January 13, 2026 there have been 3 losing days out of 194, the worst at −25.3%. This kind of profile is common in strategies that handle losing positions by keeping them open rather than closing them straight away.
That’s why the average positive day doesn’t describe the risk. The worst days do, and we publish them with the time the account took to get back to its previous high.
Copying in your account
Every trade on the master account is replicated with a fixed multiplier, in proportion to your capital. Your result may differ from the master account because of available capital, minimum lot size, execution timing, spreads and swaps.
Fee
The strategy charges a 30% performance fee on profits, calculated and collected by the platform under its own rules, every week. There are no fixed fees or subscriptions.
Risk band
The monthly risk band is calculated by the platform from the account’s volatility: the higher the number, the higher the risk.
When it’s not for you
- If you couldn’t live with a 25% loss in a single day.
- If you’ll need the capital you would invest in the next few months.
- If you’re looking for a guaranteed return or a fixed income.
- If you don’t understand how leverage works.
