Letter to investors, week 11
Ras Al Khaimah, March 14, 2026
Dear investors,
The week from 9 to 15 March closes with +8.6% on the master account and approximately +6% for you. Contrary to what many expect in wartime, gold did not act as a safe haven. Oil rekindled inflation fears, yields rose and the metal lost almost 3%. After an almost flat Monday (+0.4%), from Tuesday to Friday returns were steady, between 1.5% and 2.3%. In a market that was falling without the usual safe-haven demand, the strategy continued to work on intraday swings without depending on the direction of gold.
Next week the Federal Reserve meets and, around Friday 20, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated: Eid Mubarak to all of you and to your families.
With kind regards,
Duemar International Duemar International FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah
The week in the markets
Gold falls by about 2.9%, towards $5,020.

- The conflict and oil fuel inflation fears; yields and the dollar rise.
- Long positions are liquidated alongside falling stock markets, and safe-haven demand is scarce.
Figures are calculated from the master account’s daily returns. The copier estimate applies the 30% fee to each week’s new profits above the previous high: the platform’s own calculation may differ.
