Letter to investors, week 39
Ras Al Khaimah, September 26, 2026
Dear investors,
The week from 21 to 27 September closes with −5.1% on the master account. As on the two previous occasions, the loss is concentrated in a single moment: the market reopening after the weekend. On Saturday the US President rejected the Iranian proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and gold reopened sharply lower, at one point losing about 4%. From Monday to Friday the account closed five positive days, the best being Friday (+2.8%). The loss is recorded on Sunday 27, that is, at the reopening of the markets after the weekend. This indicates that the account had open positions at Friday's close and that, when gold reopened lower after Saturday's statements on Hormuz, the price went beyond the protection levels without any possibility of intervening. Gold closed on Friday evening and reopened on Sunday evening at a much lower level, with no trading in between: when the market reopens with a price gap, no stop can be executed at the intended level. We have decided to reduce exposure over weekends during phases of strong geopolitical tension.
No fees will accrue until the return to the high. We wish you a serene week and remain at your disposal.
With kind regards,
Duemar International Duemar International FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah
