Letter to investors, week 30
Ras Al Khaimah, July 25, 2026
Dear investors,
The week from 20 to 26 July closes with +4.0% on the master account, in your favour with no fees. The distance from the high is now 8%. On Thursday the market had to absorb, on the same day, a very strong employment figure, oil close to $100 and a new round of US tariffs. From Monday to Thursday, very steady returns, between 0.9% and 1.1%; on Friday 24 the account did not trade. On Friday the account stayed idle after a Thursday of heavy news spanning strikes, oil and tariffs. Since the July loss, daily returns have stabilised at around 1–1.5%, against 2–3% in the first months. This is a deliberate choice: after the loss of 1 July we reduced exposure. The account earns less each day, but a negative day of that magnitude weighs much less today. We prefer a slower return to a risk that we are not willing to have our investors run.
On Wednesday 29 the Federal Reserve meets. We wish you a good week.
With kind regards,
Duemar International Duemar International FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah
