Letter to investors, week 34
Ras Al Khaimah, August 22, 2026
Dear investors,
The week from 17 to 23 August closes with +5.7% on the master account and about +4% for you. Gold returned to three-month highs. On Wednesday the US Treasury's decision to double its buybacks of long-dated securities weighed on yields more than the hawkish tone of the Fed minutes. Five positive days, between 0.8% and 1.5%. On Wednesday 19, when gold gained almost $200 after the Treasury decision and the Fed minutes, the account closed at +0.9%.
Tuesday 25 August marks the Mawlid, the birth of the Prophet: to those who celebrate it, our best wishes. On Friday 28 the Federal Reserve Chair will speak at Jackson Hole, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year.
With kind regards,
Duemar International Duemar International FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah
